Columbus Day is celebrated on the second Monday of October. Though not a much-celebrated holiday, schools and government offices are closed and parades happen. Shopping is a common pastime during weekends and holidays and stores have Columbus Day sale. It’s a good opportunity to have events or parties centered on themes like adventure, travel and discovery.

Through this kids will learn about their heritage and have an insight to the olden times.
